Counted on 16 September 2026 in our database, by place of performance, current version of each notice only. A notice that names two countries counts in both.
In Spain, the Plataforma de Contratación del Sector Público (PLACSP) at contrataciondelestado.es is mandatory for the central state administration. Regions and municipalities either publish on PLACSP directly or run their own platforms, which pass their notices on to PLACSP as aggregated platforms (“Plataformas Agregadas”). Some regions keep portals of their own as well, such as the PSCP in Catalonia and KontratazioA in the Basque Country. Taken together, PLACSP covers the whole country, above and below the EU thresholds, including minor contracts (contratos menores). Above the thresholds, Spanish tenders also appear on TED.
TenderCatcher reads two of PLACSP’s public Atom feeds twice a day: the notices of the contracting authority profiles hosted on PLACSP itself, and the feed of the aggregated regional platforms. Together that is around 800 new tenders a day, above and below the EU thresholds. We leave out minor contracts, which are awarded without a call for tenders. Regional authorities sometimes write in Catalan or Basque; such titles are translated like any other, and every match links to the notice on contrataciondelestado.es.

The EU thresholds for 2026 and 2027
Above EUR 140,000 for supplies and services of central government, EUR 216,000 for those of other public buyers and EUR 5,404,000 for works, a notice has to appear on TED (Delegated Regulation (EU) 2025/2152). Below those values, national rules decide where — and that is where most contracts are.
