Counted on 16 September 2026 in our database, by place of performance, current version of each notice only. A notice that names two countries counts in both.
In Latvia, all procurement notices are published through the Procurement Monitoring Bureau (Iepirkumu uzraudzības birojs, IUB), which also passes notices above the EU thresholds on to TED. Tenders are submitted separately, in the state e-procurement system EIS. The notices are in Latvian and have used eForms, the EU standard format that TED uses as well, since May 2023.
TenderCatcher reads the IUB’s open data at open.iub.gov.lv: one file per day, released early every morning, without login or API key and under CC0. Notices above and below the EU thresholds therefore arrive together. Two details matter for accuracy. The publication date appears only in the file name, not in the notice itself, so we take it from there rather than from the day we fetched the file. And Latvian deadlines are given in local time without a time zone; we read them as Latvian time, so that no deadline is shifted by hours.
Titles and short descriptions are translated, so Latvian tenders can be searched in your language and followed through a search campaign that reports new notices by email.

The EU thresholds for 2026 and 2027
Above EUR 140,000 for supplies and services of central government, EUR 216,000 for those of other public buyers and EUR 5,404,000 for works, a notice has to appear on TED (Delegated Regulation (EU) 2025/2152). Below those values, national rules decide where — and that is where most contracts are.
